The official language is Romanian but some German and Hungarian are also spoken, as in all the area of Transylvania, while mainly English, some Italian and French are spoken by those connected with the tourist industry and by many of the young people. * * *
* * * Activities. Predeal is a magnet for skiers who want a vast choice of runs combined with the elegance of a truly cosmopolitan resort. There are ski slopes providedwith artificial snow installations, a new high speed cable chair, floodlights and ski lifts. Predeal has low price ski schools having highly qualified ski trainers speaking english, german, french. There you can also rent ski equipment, snow boards, snowmobiles and can practice archery shooting. In Predeal you'll find ski slopes for beginners, but also spectacular areas for advanced snowboarders, containing off – road slopes for those who want exciting experiences, with high adrenaline. ATV. All Terrain Vehicle , ATV or Quad is a smallterrain vehicle for 1-2 persons, with 4-6 wheels or with caterpillar. Steep slopes can be climbed and difficult portions of terrain can be covered. This sport can be practised all year  around in Predeal and other places around like Poiana Brasov and Zarnesti.Paintball can be practiced in Predeal. Paintball is a game considered as being an extreme sport. A simulated fight between two teams equipped with special weapons, the so called markers through which balls with paint are launched. The test which proves that a player is eliminated from the game (shot) is the stain from the paint which remains after the ball with paint breaks on impact with the body. Climbing is a sport that is practiced usually on cliffs of different degrees of difficulty in which the participant is secured by the team members and by a specialized instructor. Climbing is done by a rope secured from above. Climbing on ice can also be organized. This sport can be practiced in Predeal in Belvedere area, Paraul Rece. Bungee Jumping is an extreme sport available to those who want to "live on the edge". The bungee jumping equipment is installed in a spectaculous framework, in Cheile Rasnoavei, situated approximately 19 kilometers from Predeal. In "Cheile Rasnoavei" you'll find the second highest bungee-jumping in Europe. The equipment is installed up to 160 m, and the jumps can have 100 meters in length (based on the weight).  The motodeltaplan is a deltaplan equipped with a motor and cockpit for two persons using, a directed propulsion besides a planar. Tandem flights can also be organized with the motodeltaplan. The areas in which it is possible to fly and which are the most popular are Predeal, Poiana Brasov, close to Masivul Piatra Mare (Bunloc area), Zarnesti, Sanpetru and in Ghimbav. Cyclotourism.
